Note from Claire Epstein, Winner of the Storytellers Initiative: Season Two

“Winning the SeriesFest Storytellers Initiative has been a life-changing experience for me. While I was at the festival, all three finalists had workshops with industry veterans where we were able to learn about pitching, get specific notes on our scripts, and advice on our careers. I’m happy to say that I’m still in touch with our mentors, and the other two finalists have become good friends and wonderful resources.

My script, Amazing Jane, has gone through a couple rounds of notes with a studio and is currently being shopped around. I recently visited LA and, through SeriesFest connections, had a bunch of general meetings. I’m now discussing future projects with people I met in those meetings. I can draw a straight line between SeriesFest and almost all of the professional opportunities I now have, and am so grateful to everyone at SeriesFest for creating such a positive and welcoming experience."
