The SeriesFest team is excited to announce that it’s submission time for Season 5. This year’s festival will take place June 21-26, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. SeriesFest is the must-attend destination for episodic content creators to showcase their new pilots and network with top industry leaders.

We handle all submissions identically, regardless of which deadline you choose; however, we encourage you to submit as early as possible!
SeriesFest’s Independent Pilot Competition gives a platform for the most innovative pilots out there ranging from 18 to 60 minutes. These series will compete across three genres: Comedy, Drama and Unscripted for various awards including Best Pilot and the illustrious Audience Award.
Some of the most innovative storytelling now resides in the digital space. SeriesFest is looking to find and honor exciting new digital series with episodes under 15 minutes.
SeriesFest's Late Night Competition is defined as live action or animated programs with a total run time of 4-15 minutes featuring the strange, absurd, comedic, sketch, or “what the hell?” that can run as a mini series or extended seasons.
Up to six pilots will selected and screened at SeriesFest: Season 5. The Late Night Competition winner will be determined by a jury during the festival (June 21-26, 2019).
SeriesFest is thrilled to partner once again with Elysium Bandini Studios to discover creative, fresh writers as part of our Storytellers Initiative. What excites us most for Season 5 is the opportunity to explore short form series with a strong point of view and bold characters. In order to qualify, interested writers are encouraged to submit pilot scripts with episodes running less than 15 minutes (minimum 15 - maximum 20 pages) and a series bible.
SeriesFest and Shondaland are proud to partner to launch the Women Directing Mentorship -- a competition designed to discover aspiring female directors with a unique voice and provide a launchpad for their career. Submissions are open now through March 4, 2019. Winner will be announced in June 2019 at SeriesFest: Season 5.
Broadening its mission to cultivate opportunities for and about women, SeriesFest is proud to partner with Big Swing Productions (founded by Emmy®- and Golden Globe®-winner Kyra Sedgwick, Meredith Bagby and Valerie Stadler) for the Women Writing Competition to discover and celebrate bold new series with a distinctly female perspective.
The script writing competition gives female artists the opportunity to share diverse ideas through visual media and create unique and powerful roles for women. The winning artist(s) will receive a year-long development deal with Big Swing Productions and a live read of her script with professional actors.
